Auditory assessment and central auditory processing script for preschool children

ABSTRACT Purpose To develop an assessment script to observe hearing and central auditory processing in preschool children. Methods The was prepared based on a search the Scielo databases library of university state São Paulo using following keywords: “central processing”, “hearing language”, “auditory disorders”, children”, “vocabulary assessment”, resulting selection fourteen articles two books. Then, questions related development for assessing were prepared. Results consists eight parts, namely: Identification Anamnesis, Information about Mother Pregnancy, Complaints, Auditory Development, Language Motor Simplified Processing Evaluation Behavioral Audiological Assessment. Conclusion is essential, given lack screening instruments literature children that thoroughly investigate entire process permeates language aged 43 47 months.
